About Bahria College Karachi
The foundation of this college was laid on 30th August 1986 by Admiral I.A. Sirohey NI (M), S.Bt. the then Chief of Naval Staff. Bahria College, both in this fixtures and functions, is a symbol of the educational aspirations of Pakistan Navy and is commissioned with a special purpose of providing quality education to children of the Naval Community in particular and the public in general. Its administration duly keeps in view the importance of an over all development of the students. Therefore, the curriculum of the institution includes along with various academic disciplines, programme's for character building , physical activity, religious motivation and various hobbies so that a foundation is laid for sound scholarship and philosophy of life.
BCK has a student focused environment, thus it gives importance to the overall development of the students by following a curriculum,which not only includes academic disciplines, but also programme for character building, physical activity and religious motivation.
Bahria College is an autonomous institution governed by an independent body. In face of declining standard of education and discipline, Bahria College is determined to maintain standards of excellence. The learning experience at BCK is demanding , but highly enjoyable. The teaching is stimulating dynamic & practical. Keeping in view the changing trends in education & the nature of competition that the students have to face as they compete globally in 1995, the Cambridge Section of the College was formed and only Ordinary Levels of Cambridge University were offered. Later, Advanced Level courses of the Cambridge University were introduced.
